Performed at The High Line, Safe Gallery, The Funny Hole, among others.
Stand-up comedy is a medium I started dabbling in in 2016, and my main interest is in bringing groups of artists together and having them perform stand-up as a crash course in how to engage an audience. Artists use and have long used humor (see Dada and Surrealism) as a link to the human, something instinctual and visceral, something that allows for connection and catharsis. Which we all desperately need these days. Or at least I do. Clips are from my first stand up set at The Funny Hole curated by Jennifer Sullivan, and Stand Up Stand Down- a comedy night I organized of artists performing stand-up on the High Line on 9/18/17, which included Morgan Bassichis, Lorelei Ramirez, Jacques Louis Vidal, Melissa Brown, and Seung Min-Lee.
